Kayla Lasson is a senior at Towson University, majoring in Theatre Studies. She grew up going to Jewish schools and camps, but didn’t realize until college how important and special her Judaism meant to her.

“After experiencing antisemitism on my college campus, I reached out to Jewish on Campus to seek advice. At the end of filling out a form regarding the incident, I was asked if I also wanted to start a JOC club. That I how I brought JOC to Towson. Everything happens for a reason! I am so excited for the work that my board and I will bring to this club. I take pride in supporting western values, democracy, and advocating for Jewish students. That’s why I am honored to be the president of Jewish on Campus at Towson University.”
